WAPAKONETA — Lima Central Catholic won Saturday’s Wapakoneta Invitational girls tennis tournament with 22 total points.
The Wapakoneta varsity was second with 18 points with Piqua and the Wapak JV tying for third with four points each.
LCC’s Libby Simmons won the singles championship. The LCC teams of Claire Janowski and Alexa Heffner and Paige Brinkman and Emma Skinner were the first and second doubles winners respectively. The Wapak varsity duo of Abigail Hamill and Jenna Kohler were the third doubles champs.

VAN WERT — Singles players Grace Lott, Mandy Burenga and Livy Quillen and the doubles teams of Ashlyn Jennings and Zoe Coleman and Piper Pierce and Sophie Gearhart all won for the Cougars in their season opener.

COLDWATER — Jared Knebel was the race winner with a chip time of 16 minutes, 18.9 seconds. Ashley Lefeld had the top female time of 18:04.7.
