According to Romanian publication Orange Sport, Simona Halep may be planning to relocate her home in Nice, which is not far away from Mouratoglou’s tennis academy. “Orange Sport sources claim that Simona Halep (WTA 7th place) is getting closer to settling permanently in another country, in a place that charmed her, also by the sea, like Constanta, her hometown.
Simona Halep would have told those close to her on several occasions that she would like to permanently move to Nice, in France. She feels ever closer to the gorgeous city on the Cote d’Azur, an important luxury tourist center.
According to Orange Sport information, Simona Halep would like to take this important step in her life for a long time, and the player would also have asked the opinion of the closest people,” Orange Sport reported.
Mouratoglou’s tennis academy is located at a 35 minutes ride from the center of Nice.
Halep about her relationship with Mouratoglou
Since she started working with Mouratoglou, Halep admitted that her passion for tennis came back.
“I didn’t really expect that because I’m not very open to people and it’s not easy for me to trust in somebody. But it was just a great connection since the first moment I met him,” Halep says of Mouratoglou as quoted by CNN.
“I was almost done before coming here because I didn’t have that fire anymore and I didn’t trust that I’m able to play at the highest level again. So coming here I found it and I discovered again why I play tennis,” Halep added.
“I play tennis because I love it … He brought that fire back.” Mouratoglou also had words of praise for Halep. “I always love to watch her play. I think she has an incredible game, so she’s super exciting as a player,” Mouratoglou tells CNN Sport.
“She was playing great already, but she could play much more. I could see the progress she could make. Of course the passion is the most important. (If) the players don’t have the passion, they’re not going to achieve anything great.
People also in their life go through moments in which they kind of maybe lose their love for the game for a period of time or have less love for the game. I don’t think she (Halep) lost it,” said Mouratoglou.
