Columbia (1-3-1) is coming off a heartbreaking, 1-0, defeat on Saturday to LIU. The Lions controlled nearly the entire matchup but were unable to put away a goal despite creating ample opportunities. In the 89th minute, the Sharks won a free kick about 35 yards from goal that was sent into the box and headed in for the game winner. The loss snapped Columbia’s four-game streak to start the season without being shutout.
Three different Lions have found the back of the net this season, which include Jack Muoio, Joaa Lima and Jake Novoshelski. Muoio leads the point total with three, earning the assist on Lima’s goal that defeated St. John’s, 1-0.
Michael Collodi has played every minute of the season in goal for the Lions and carries a GAA of 1.20 into the contest. He’ll be opposed by Drexel’s Alessandro Capogna, who has played all 630 minutes for the Dragons (2-2-3).
