WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University soccer team will compete in the second-consecutive home NSIC weekend of their 2022 schedule, hosting Concordia, St. Paul on Friday, Sept. 30 and Minnesota State, Mankato on Sunday, Oct. 2.
The Warriors and Golden Bears will kickoff at 5 p.m. on Friday, while Sunday’s match against MSU – Mankato will begin at 1pm.
Winona State heads into the NSIC weekend coming off two-draw weekend last week, earning points in a 1-1 tie with Minot State on Friday, Sept. 23 and battling to a 0-0 stalemate against UMary on Sunday, Sept. 25.
On Friday, the Warriors will be looking to reverse a streak of tough results against CSP in recent years as the Golden Bears have won the last four matchups. The contest on Sunday will give WSU the chance to snap a 0-9-1 ten-match run against the Mavericks that dates back to 2014. The last time Winona State defeated Minnesota State, Mankato was November 3, 2013, a 1-0 Warrior win.
