New Partner Signs Multi-Year Agreement to be Exclusive Jazz Sponsor in the Employee Rewards and Recognition Category and Presenting Sponsor of Season Ticket Members
Awardco and the Utah Jazz announced today a multi-year, exclusive partnership that will result in a rewards program for season ticket holders and corporate partners as well as a “Recognize the Good” public program to honor individuals in the community who have demonstrated goodwill through acts of kindness, charitable service and positive effort.
Utah-based Awardco – the employee rewards and recognition platform which serves more than 1,200 clients and four million users in 150 countries – has been named the exclusive sponsor of the Utah Jazz for the employee rewards and recognition category and the presenting sponsor of a special program for season ticket members. Awardco, which already conducts the Jazz employee recognition program, will create a custom platform for a Jazz Rewards Program with redeemable offerings through its own marketplace.
“We look forward to partnering with Awardco,” said Jazz Owner Ryan Smith. “Awardco’s ability to help us reward Jazz fans is a new way for our franchise to connect with the community. This unique and innovative collaboration uses technology to enhance the game experience while allowing us to show loyal Jazz fans our appreciation.“
“Partnering with the Jazz is an important milestone for us at Awardco,” said Awardco CEO and Co-Founder Steve Sonnenberg. “We’re expanding our ability to provide rewarding recognition to more than just employees. We’re rewarding and engaging fans, customers, participants, and more. We see this as the next step in our mission to recognize the good in everyone, and to provide them truly valuable reward options.”
“For the first time, the Utah Jazz will be able to offer a rewards program for its season ticket holders and corporate partners to show our appreciation for their steadfast support of our team,” said Chris Barney, Utah Jazz chief commercial officer. “Awardco brings tremendous expertise to develop a robust program that recognizes the loyalty of our customers, fans and employees.”
The season-long “Recognize the Good” program will identify five individuals with unique stories who are doing good in their community. Recipients will be surprised with a Jazz pregame experience and receive a “Goodness Grant” monetary award from Awardco. During the game, they will have an opportunity to double their money by participating in an oncourt skills challenge presented by Awardco.
Awardco was founded in 2012 by cousins Steve Sonnenberg and Mike Sonnenberg. Steve’s father introduced him to the recognition concept while working on rings and rewards for the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. Awardco has a variety of recognition programs, including wellness programs, service awards, holiday celebrations, manager-to-peer programs, peer-to-peer programs, employee of the month, sales incentives, spot recognition, custom swag programs, and more. The Awardco platform has evolved to serve 8.3 million recognitions over the past year, with one recognition being sent every 3.7 seconds.
