Mac Jones returned for the New England Patriots, and Bailey Zappe came on to spark their offense.
It made no matter, though, as Monday night belonged to quarterback Justin Fields and the Chicago rushing offense, which keyed the Bears’ lopsided win over the Patriots in Foxborough.
Zappe led back-to-back scoring drives as the Patriots took a first-half lead, but a Fields-to-Khalil Herbert touchdown began a 23-0 run for the Bears in the rout.
Fields, dazzling with his arms and legs, led the Bears to a season high in points scored and their first win on the road this year, while Zappe led a pair of scoring drives but likewise left New England with myriad questions regarding its QB situation.
Around the NFL will have more shortly from Nick Shook.
