Canelo in Creed 3: Boxing News: Canelo Alvarez will be seen sharing the screen with Michael B. Jordan in Creed 3, which is set to hit the big screens in March. The previous ventures of Rocky movies have featured several A-listed boxing legends like Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier. Now that Canelo Alvarez has joined the list, the boxer has clarified his activities in the movie. For more combat sports news, follow Insidesport.IN.
In an exclusive chat with GQ, Canelo said, “Michael B. Jordan spoke to me and I was delighted to be there. It’s not a role as you might imagine, but I leave like two or three seconds. However, it’s an honor to have participated in one of the sagas that drove me the most when I was young. I watched the Rocky movies to motivate myself when I started in the box and now it’s a privilege to be on such an important film.”
Creed 3 will be the directorial debut of Michael B. Jordan and the movie will feature iconic Rocky star Sylvester Stallone. It’s unclear whether the franchise will still be popular without Stallone. However, Sylvester Stallone had clarified his departure long back.
He said, “It was taken in a direction that is quite different than I would’ve taken it. It’s a different philosophy — Irwin Winkler’s and Michael B. Jordan’s. I wish them well, but I’m much more of a sentimentalist. I like my heroes getting beat up, but I just don’t want them going into that dark space. I just feel people have enough darkness.” (Source:- Hollywood reporter)
With Stallone leaving the venture, it remains to be seen how Michael B. Jordan carries the film. As the trailer suggests, the movie will provoke a feud between friends turned foes where Canelo Alvarez will spark his charm for a few seconds possibly.

Canelo Alvarez next fight: When will the Mexican star return?
Following a successful super middleweight title defense against Gennadiy Golovkin, Canelo is yet to announce his return officially. He has touted a possible clash against John Ryder in the UK this summer. While a rematch against Dmitry Bivol is also possible, Artur Beterbiev’s win over Anthony Yarde can change the plans.

Beterbiev and Bivol are now the two most dominant champions at 175 lbs and the winner between them will stage the next undisputed light heavyweight champion. Hence, Dmitry Bivol can entertain that opportunity unless he prioritizes a multi-million payday that Canelo can bring in.
