NFL legend Peyton Manning has stepped into a few prominent roles since he retired five years ago. As a commercial pitchman, entrepreneur, and most recently…a T.V star, Manning has certainly stayed busy. One of those endeavors that Peyton has taken upon himself is his series on ESPN+ titled Peyton’s Places and in filming for that recently, Manning was given the chance to step into a virtual reality (VR) headset and take a look at what is possibly the future of quarterback practice:

As you can see from the video, it will take some time for quarterbacks to get used to, especially the ones who have been training without the goggles for so long. One can see how this can benefit players in the future as it can limit exposure to live repetitions and keep quarterbacks away from practice injuries. Also, it could greatly benefit certain quarterbacks that learn the game visually, because the Virtual Reality system uses your eyes to train your entire body.
Carson Palmer was notorious for using Virtual Reality to help him train at the end of his career and it never quite caught on to mainstream football players because the technology was lacking. Now, Virtual Reality has been taken to a whole other level visually and in its processing speed to where training in VR can be used to train a quarterback in every play of their playbook.
