After a five-game hiatus (protocols), Murray has resumed his high level of play over his last three starts. During that run, he averaged 22.7 points, 11 assists and 7.7 rebounds. He hasn’t been overly efficient since his return, but his offensive usage rate has been over 34 percent in two of his last three starts.
The Spurs visit New York on Monday, and the two teams have already played once this season. Murray took a bit of a backseat to teammate Derrick White in that one, but still finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and a steal against a Knicks team that has been tough against opposing guards this season. With White and a host of other Spurs out due to health and safety protocols, Murray should have the green light to fire away at the basket all night.
Another key in McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes stacking Murray with Spurs shooting guard Lonnie Walker IV ($4,200 on DraftKings and $4,400 on FanDuel). Walker made his first start since November 1 on Sunday against Brooklyn, and scored 25 points with four assists.
