Players in the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game will be dressed to the nines in Las Vegas this season, and that’s just when they are on the ice.
The uniforms for the game, which will be played at T-Mobile Arena on Feb.5, will have a distinct throwback flavor.
The NHL shield returns to the front of the sweater for the first time since 2018, with each player’s team logo to be worn on the left shoulder. The right shoulder will feature the All-Star Game logo.
A nod to the past is nothing new for adidas, which put out wildly popular Reverse Retro jerseys for each team in 2020.
But though the look is retro, the jerseys are on the cutting edge of technology.
The all-stars will be wearing ADIZERO Primegreen Authenic NHL jerseys made with at least 60 percent recycled materials. The blue vs. red theme is also an homage to the past games from 1998 through 2012 featuring red vs. white.
The NHL will follow the same format as the past five All-Star Games. Four teams, one from each division — Atlantic, Metropolitan, Central and Pacific — will compete in a 3-on-3 single elimination tournament.
– All-Star jerseys will be available for purchase on Friday, Jan. 14 at NHLShop.com, NHLShop.ca, Fanatics.com, adidas.com and adidas.ca and at NHL Shop, the NHL flagship store in New York City.
