Tom Brady retiring (or not) will surely turn out to be one of the biggest pieces of news of this year, and it’s only January. And regardless of what happens next, a career that spans 22 seasons is truly unreal. But if Brady’s career span still doesn’t impress you, just look at the current NASCAR grid and Kurt Busch.

Busch, who will race for 23XI Racing in 2022, is part of an interesting trivia that really shines the light on the insane time span of Brady’s career. And that is the fact that Kurt Busch is the ONLY active Cup Series driver today who was around when Tom Brady made his NFL debut.
There are 34 drivers in the Cup Series today, and only one was in a stock car when Brady began his summit to the top of NFL history.

The Tom Brady retirement saga?
After several reports that claimed Tom Brady was calling it off after winning seven Super Bowls rings, there came conflicting reports that argued it wasn’t the case.
According to those reports, Brady isn’t done yet, or at least he isn’t fully sure yet. AP reported that Brady’s father claimed he hasn’t made a firm decision yet on his retirement.
So until Tom Brady comes out with a statement or an announcement from his end, him retiring or not retiring will remain the continue to be a big question.
If he does indeed retire, his last game would be the defeat to the Rams, which wouldn’t really be the fairytale ending his fans or he would’ve hoped for.
But regardless, he is Tom Brady.
Toyota President considers ‘maturity’ the most valuable asset with Kurt Busch
Dave Wilson, Toyota Racing’s president, recently spoke about the veteran Kurt Busch ahead of his first season with the 23XI Racing. Wilson admitted that despite Busch almost guaranteeing his team wins and making the playoffs, it’s his maturity that will help his team the most.

“It’s the maturity in the feedback and the coaching,” Wilson said. “He’s going to lift the performance of that organization. Not on Saturday or Sunday, but over the course of the season.”
“That’s where, honestly, I think Kurt’s going to provide the most value.”
So while Tom Brady could retire after what has been a career that may never be replicated, Kurt Busch is hanging around to add more to his career. The 2004 Cup Champion may not necessarily take the season by storm, but he still has a lot to offer to his team and to his legacy.
