Thomas Tuchel is ready to make big defensive changes to his Chelsea squad with the club being linked with a summer move for Brighton’s Adam Webster.
The Blues boss is facing the prospect of having to overhaul his back-line in the next transfer window with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta’s contracts all set to expire at the end of the season.
It comes as Chelsea have made history after being crowned world champions following their 2-1 win over Brazilian side Palmeiras.
And Blues owner Roman Abramovich is said to be leading the takeover of a second football club following his successful time at the helm with the west London side.

Abramovich eyes takeover
Roman Abramovich is reportedly eyeing taking over a second club.
It’s a strategy that has been successfully employed by the likes of Manchester City’s City Football Group, which also owns MLS side New York City FC and Melbourne City.
And now, Russian billionaire Abramovich is reportedly ready to follow suit and is trying to purchase Brazilian side Vasco de Gama.
It is claimed the Chesea owner is hoping to beat Premier League rivals Liverpool to the punch.

Kai Havertz’s last-ditch extra-time penalty sealed Chelsea’s maiden Club World Cup triumph in a gritty 2-1 win over Brazilians Palmeiras.
Romelu Lukaku’s 10th goal of the season had Chelsea hoping of a quick conclusion in their bid to complete the clean sweep of major global club trophies.
