The lone point for Texas Tech (5-5) was secured by Reed Collier who rolled past Pierce Rollins of Texas A&M (6-0) three and three.
All of the other singles matches went the way of the Aggies in straight sets.
In doubles action A&M won a pair of 6-3 decisions to secure the doubles point, but Franco Ribero and Francisco Vittar were up 5-4 when doubles play was halted.
