The Harding women’s tennis team fell behind early and battled back but eventually lost to Dallas Baptist 4-3 in Arlington, Texas on Saturday morning. The Lady Bisons fell to 3-3 on the year while DBU improves to 6-3.
The Lady Bisons dropped all three doubles matches, 6-2, and dropped the first two singles matches at No. 2 and No. 1 to fall behind 3-0 in the match. Lindy Carpenter won the first singles match for the Lady Bisons at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-3 win. Jing Jing Yang won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 4.
Emily Carpenter leveled the match at 3-3 with a tight three-set win at No. 6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Allison Carpenter fell in the final match of the day in a tight three-set match 4-6, 6-4, 5-7 at No. 4.
The Lady Bisons will play their fourth and final match of the weekend on Sunday against Collin College at 9 a.m.
