Australian boxing sensation Tim Tszyu is seto to make his long-awaited debut on US soil in May as he continues to wait for his mandatory WBO title shot.
American Olympian Terrell Gausha looms as the next opponent for Tszyu as the headline bout of a show on May 14, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The fight against Gausha will be Tszyu’s second since he was named as the next in line for Brian Castano’s WBO light middleweight title last August as he dominated Japanese contender Takeshi Inoue in November last year, earning a victory via unanimous decision.
And much like the fight against Inoue, Tszyu is taking a major risk by facing Gausha as he stands to lose his spot as the mandatory challenger to Castano.
But Tszyu has a philosophical stance as to why he’s willing to put it all on the line overseas.
“Live your life with thrill, live your life with risk, and good things will happen,” Tszyu told The Daily Telegraph.

“I’m talking in my career, financially, I’m trying to set my family up and I’m working on building my brand and building myself, making myself better.
“And that constant challenge that’s always there, being in training camp, feeling the struggles, they’re for these moments.”
Tszyu and Gausha were originally slated to square off on the undercard of the Castano-Charlo rematch at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
However, plans for a rematch were recently thrown into major doubt after Castano suffered a bicep tear, forcing him to withdraw as the WBO issued a show cause letter to the Argentine as to why they shouldn’t organise a mandatory title fight against Tszyu instead.
Castano and Charlo’s first bout went to the judge’s scorecards and was ruled a split decision, although judge Nelson Velasquez’s scorecard heavily in favour of Charlo had many boxing fans perplexed, to say the least.
Tszyu holds an unblemished 20-0 record, with 15 of those coming via KO/TKO.
He was named the mandatory contender for Castano’s WBO belt a month after defeating Stevie Spark, who stepped up to the plate on late notice after Michael Zerafa had pulled out.
On his way to the Gausha fight, Tszyu has beaten a number of prominent Australian boxers, including Wade Ryan, Joel Camilleri and Jeff Horn, who famously beat boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in front of a packed house at Suncorp Stadium.
