By Allan Fox: IBF middleweight champion Gennadiy ‘GGG’ Golovkin vs. WBA champion Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs) will be rescheduled for March or April.  The two were initially scheduled to meet in Japan in December, but the date has now been moved to the first quarter of 2022. This will be the 39-year-old Golovkin’s first fight since his seventh round knockout win over IBF mandatory Kamil Szeremeta in December 2020. GGG could have fought many times since that fight, but he’s been waiting on facing the 35-year-old Murata. The inactivity has hurt Golovkin’s popularity, as he’s failed to stay in…

Earlier this month we showed you a cool 1964 Ford Galaxie that was revived after spending 30 years on a field. The car has since been washed and repaired, and its big-block V8 put to good use through a series of smoky burnouts. Well, the owner recently had the cool idea to turn it into a NASCAR tribute. And no, he didn’t repaint the body and slapped a few decals on top. He left the body as is, but replaced the old wheels with a set of Wheel Vintiques rollers in gold. But more importantly, he took the Galaxie to…

Apropos of yesterday’s discussion of the Cubs’ developmental methodology changes throughout the organization, you could probably point to several Cubs prospects as *THE* breakout prospect of the year. Maybe it’s a guy who went from off the radar to top 15 status in the organization with an explosive second half (Nelson Velazquez). Maybe it’s a guy who was largely a talented unknown because of the pandemic and wound up the pitcher of the year in the system (D.J. Herz).
